Job Description
The Production Technician is responsible for supporting the assembly, integration, and testing of Greensea IQ products, components, and systems. This role operates primarily on the production floor, performing manufacturing and testing activities in accordance with Greensea IQ standards, procedures, and quality requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality, defect-free assemblies on schedule. Success in this position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment, and a collaborative approach to supporting evolving program needs. This position reports directly to the Production Team Lead.
Responsibilities
- Participate as a collaborative, multidisciplinary production team member supporting manufacturing and operational goals.
- Assemble Greensea IQ products, components, and systems in accordance with established procedures, specifications, and quality standards.
- Assist in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of existing robotic control systems and related components.
- Perform functional testing, inspection, and verification of assemblies to ensure reliable, defect-free performance.
- Execute production activities safely, efficiently, and with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Adhere to company standards, work instructions, and testing protocols throughout all stages of the production process.
- Create and maintain clear, accurate, and effective documentation for production, testing, and QA/QC procedures.
- Provide support to engineering staff and participate in field testing activities as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing production efficiency, product quality, and workflow effectiveness.
- Additional duties as reasonably assigned by management.
Requirements
- Technical school training or certification preferred; candidates with equivalent hands-on experience and demonstrated technical aptitude will also be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in electronics assembly, production, or robotics manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, with the ability to use oscilloscopes, DC power supplies, multimeters, and other electronic test equipment for troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Familiarity with software integration into hardware systems and verification of system functionality following assembly.
- Proficient in the safe and proper use of electrical test equipment, electronics tools, and general shop tools.
- IPC training and certification preferred, particularly in soldering and electronics assembly standards.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly documentation with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to quality, precision, and workmanship throughout all stages of assembly and testing.
- Excellent communication skills with strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and focus in a production environment.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
