Biofouling, Performance Loss, and the Case for Proactive In-Water Hull Cleaning

Day 1 – January 23 | 13:45 GMT

Biofouling begins long before heavy growth is visible, quietly increasing drag, fuel consumption, and emissions. This presentation explores how early-stage fouling impacts vessel performance, why relying on drydock or reactive cleaning is increasingly costly and restrictive, and how proactive in-water hull grooming delivers measurable improvements in efficiency, fuel savings, and environmental compliance.
