Job Description

The Field Supervisor will be responsible for the daily operations, piloting, and on site planning of Greensea IQ’s Hull Service Robot (HSR). The candidate should be competent in the maintenance and repair of all electronic, electrical, mechanical, and sub-systems associated with the vehicle. This includes component repair, replacement, and troubleshooting. The majority of operations will take place at major ports around the country and will require a significant amount of traveling. This includes driving a control van that is specially outfitted for the vehicles. The Field Supervisor will report directly to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for safe and effective field service operations and maintenance.
  • Pilot/Supervise vehicles while in operations.
  • Carry out familiarization and debriefing sessions prior to mobilization/demobilization.
  • Responsible for the safety of each crew member, and any person directly involved in the operation.
  • Act as liaison with all the vessel’s parties and Greensea IQ’s Operations department while on-site.
  • Familiarize the crew with the operation’s scope of work and all applicable safety regulations and requirements.
  • Ensure that logs, reports, and the quality of service are consistent according to Greensea IQ’s standards.
  • Allocate tasks to the service team members in accordance with their experience/training.
  • Monitor the team performance and report feedback to the Operation Manager and others as applicable.
  • Participate in internal service system training of personnel.
  • Ensure that system documentation is updated and maintained.
  • Evaluate system maintenance schedules and advise engineering support of any technical matters, needs, and upgrades.
  • Maintains parts and supplies inventory associated with all systems.
  • Assist in the post-processing of all data collected during operation to build out field reports.
  • Ensure that internal/external Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality requirements are adhered to at all times.
  • Assist the engineering department with testing and data collection at our test facility in Cape Canaveral, FL.
  • All other responsibilities as reasonably assigned.

Requirements

  • Possess High School Diploma or GED.
  • Qualified and Experienced in ROV Operations as a Supervisor (5+ Years).
  • Qualified in Electrical and Mechanical maintenance or relevant discipline.
  • Working knowledge of the Maritime Industry.
  • Strong computer skills including experience in Linux and Windows.
  • Will require to drive an operations van for 6+ hours to different job locations.
  • Willing to travel for 5+ days at a time.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and submit a driving record for the past three years.
  • Must be able to obtain a valid Passport and Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Card).
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of prioritizing jobs depending on job requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions; rain, sleet, storm, snow, heat, etc.
